So I wasn’t able to post anything last week. Because of that, this week, I’ll be posting two! And they couldn’t be any more different from each other.

The Drink: Iced Grande Latte, 2 pumps Hazelnut, 1 pump Caramel, 1 pump Irish Cream
The Price: Php 150.00 (Around $3.50)
What I think:
I’ve asked this question many times: “What drink does Irish Cream go well with?” Because, really, who orders additional pumps of Irish Cream? I don’t know anyone who has, and I’ve never either. When I asked it again, my friendly office Starbucks barista, Richard, suggested a thing. I was like, okay, a Grande Latte with two pumps Hazelnut, one pump Irish Cream, one pump Caramel. It was fine, I wasn’t particularly intrigued. But then he said, “It tastes like Toffee Nut.”
Deal. Sealed.
The first sip was heavenly. It took me back to days of collecting stickers for friends and family members, thinking that gift giving where I get to overdose on my favorite coffee drink wasn’t so bad. The second sip was also great. But then after a few sips, the magic kind of wore out. It started to taste weird. Irish Cream is a very strong syrup. Sadly, I didn’t get to finish my drink.
Would I drink it again? Probably not. Unless I’m courageous enough again to experiment and see if a few tweaks will make it taste better?
You will like it if:
1. … you’re up for something new.
2. … you would rather have a few sips of heaven than none at all.
You will hate it if:
1. … you know how Toffee Nut tastes like exactly.
2. … you don’t feel like figuring out what that weird taste is on your tongue the entire time.
3. … your heart has been broken so many times, you’d rather not have a coffee drink disappoint you too. (Excuse me. Feelings.)
Tweak it!
+ Order it as a Venti. 3 pumps Hazelnut, 1 pump Irish Cream, 2 pumps Caramel.
+ Order it as a Grande Caramel Macchiatto instead of a Latte. Same number of pumps.
+ Order it as a Grande in a Venti and add more milk yourself.
+ Order it as a Grande Caramel Frappe, 2 pumps Hazelnut, 1 pump Irish Cream.
