Starbucks || Them Red Cups

So it begins: that time of the year when I am inexplicably, and most likely irrationally happy at the sight of a bunch of red paper coffee cups. When Toffee Nut, my favorite Christmas coffee drink, makes a return. When I get to enjoy my favorite Christmas pastry, the Chicken Fajita Roll, whenever I want for the next two months. When the baristas look the cutest as they greet me in their red shirts and green aprons.

And when I see if without trying, I’d be able to break my Starbucks Planner Claim record from four six years ago of eight planners before Christmas day. (Now don’t look at me like that! I give them away as presents! I don’t keep them all in a glass case, call them my precious and salivate over them until next Christmas comes…)

Did you hear Starbucks Philippines recently partnered with Moleskine for their planners? And that every time a planner is redeemed, a donation is made to their partner NGOs Teach For the Philippines and The Peta Theater?

Starbucks Planners 2016 Moleskin

Uh huh. Keep reading. I’ll tell you how.

Every Christmas for the past few years, Starbucks gives their customers a chance to get something back for their continued patronage… in the form of the Starbucks Planner. If you’re new to this whole thing, you may be wondering, “How does that work exactly?”

Starbucks Christmas Traditions Promo Card 20151. Ask for a Starbucks Christmas Traditions Promo Card anytime from November 2, 2015 to January 7, 2016. No purchase required.

2. You get one sticker for each Starbucks handcrafted beverage you purchase. By handcrafted it only means any of the bottled or pre-packed drinks available on the chilled glass display won’t count for stickers. A purchase requirement also means free drinks that you claim via Starbucks Card Stars, or Customer Voice Receipt, won’t count either.

3. To get the 2016 Starbucks planner you would need 9 stickers for Holiday Featured Beverages (Tofee Nut Latte, Peppermint Mocha, or the new Panettone Latte), and 9 stickers for Any Starbucks core beverage (which are on the regular menu, including Iced Tea).

4. Once all 18 stickers are collected, you present the Starbucks Christmas Traditions card to the barista and claim your chosen planner!

**Alternatively, a single receipt bulk purchase of food and other retail items worth at least Php7,000 will also entitle you to one planner.

***Redemption will last until March 7, 2016, unless extended or stocks run out.

Starbucks Moleskin Planner 2016
One of the four (4) Moleskine planners available for Starbucks customers to choose from. This is the small red planner, its counterpart a black one. The two bigger planners are in green and white.

Of course you’re not obligated to collect stickers. If you wish, you may opt to pass. But if you do, I suggest asking the person next in line if they’re collecting stickers and would like to have yours. It will be a nice gesture and you might just make someone smile. Yay Christmas!

There are a lot of other spiffy knick knacks and yummy goodies in store for everyone this Christmas. So drop by a Starbucks branch today! If anything, you’ll get a good cup of joe, some nice and shiny things to look at, and maybe even get smiled at by a cute Starbucks barista. 😉

I mean, it’s the holidays! And coffee! How can you go wrong with that?
